Sabres U.S. Cavalry Horsemanship and Tactics Training, ride our Staff ride of Custer's Last Stand or learn at our "Custer's Last Ride" Adventure Course, train to fight in the Annual Little Bighorn Battle Reenactment, Gun Familiarization Training for Horses, Cavalry Encampments, Re-enactment Training, Battle Staff Rides (as we teach US Military), Cavalry History instruction, and more. Training focused on the Civil War and Indian War Period of the Frontier Cavalry trooper. Experience the United States Cavalry School on the Banks of the Little Bighorn River at Garryowen, Montana, Methow Valley of Washington State, Helena, MT or at your location.

Learn cavalry riding and tactical skills from some of the country's best. We've got the perfect combination of top quality equestrian trainers, seasoned subject matter instructors, and support personnel to insure your best possible experience. Our professional staff includes retired military officers and NCO's, some with active Army Cavalry service; Frontier Army and Native American scholar; experienced movie re-enactors, and respected Northwest outfitters.

Hope to have you come ride with us or watch us at the Battle of the Little Bighorn -"Custer's Last Stand" reenactment at Crow agency, MT @ 1PM - June 23-25, 2017. It takes place on the edge of Little Bighorn Memorial and National Park. See the braves and troopers cross the Little Bighorn River at Medicine Tail Coulee.
Attend for an hour or a week.
Families and First Time Riders are Welcome! Also superb training for experienced horsemen and re-enactors.
Each program tailored to perfectly meet your individual expectations. Most all classes within our courses are adaptable for non-riders.

      Ride Custer Trail to Little Bighorn, train as a cavalry Trooper, experience Western/Military/Native American studies, learn horsemanship, history, tactics, weapons, then ride in Little Bighorn Reenactment on it's 140th Anniversary of the Battle! First 32 accepted applications with deposit have guaranteed reservation, all others will be placed on waiting list. .

  • "Custer's Last Ride (8 day) Adventure", 18-25 June 2017.
    Register now and save your spot by January for a 2017 Adventure! WE ARE PLANNING A 2-3 day Little Bighorn Cavalry Training/Adventure for 2nd or 3rd weekend in September 2016 ; if interested, call us for details. We were full in 2013 thru 2016. Be ready to Ride! Pre-registration for June 18-25, 2017 is open.
  • Little Bighorn Adventure & Cavalry Ride (4 Day), Mobile Training Team available for beginning to advanced Cavalry Horsemanship training. These courses are tentative (before Crow Fair), requires minimum number of 10 participants. May be cancelled due to numbers and working on Cavalry scenes in Montana for movie filming.
  • (Military) Staff Ride of the Little Bighorn and/or Rosebud Dates (1 to 4 days) are open May thru Sep! Premium openings for military units doing Staff Rides are available. OCS and ROTC units have reoccuring Little Bighorn Staff Rides.
    Custer's Last Stand Staff Ride is amazing training and team building event.
  • Packing, Animal Handling & Horsemanship Course, 6-10 June 2013, 20- 28 June 2015 at Little Bighorn and Bighorn Mtns (this course is tentative, depends on # of student reservations),
    Dates TBD Jul-Aug at Twisp, WA.
